Not selecting gears 74 bay

  1. Ah I see, I call that bit the clutch cable guide tube to distinguish it from the clutch cable conduit which is often another name for the Bowden tube.

I had an auto and changed to manual so I fitted this tube recently and I payed £4 for it from the local steel place was an off cut but £20 is allot for this thin 10mm tube as @zed says if pop ask your local steel place for some 10mm tube and measure it and I just spotted a few weld after got it all in place !!

Hahaha , I'm new to all this but I've come to the conclusion anything that's specifically for a vw double what its worth and add some , I've been after a interior for my bus for ages ,anything that comes up seems to be scabby and rotten has and people want top dollar for it , I got a quote locally for a paint job 3500 think I will leave it a while lol, anyway I've already done the order with scofields this time but will defo think before I buy next time cheers dude

  5. I found a chap on eBay who was making interiors and I had my pal who owns bcs carpentry (small local buisness) make it all fit and added loads extra all in all I payed no more than £700 have a lil look around amazing what u come across, the wood came in big sheets !!

  6. Wow that's mint really impressive , how many sheets did you use , what wood is it , do you have contact for supplier , my best mate is a joiner maybe I could tap him up lol , did you just varnish it or is it a wood stain , your bus looks great mate .
