  1. I took my own son to his prom last year (since when do we become American?).....there were stretch hummers, limos, supercars......guess which got the biggest cheer!

  2. Bet you enjoyed it as much as he did :)
I have crb as part of my other job (driving instructor)
But it's not hard to do

I've got a CRB as I needed it for work. (Actually I guess it might have expired).
It's the taxi licence and public hire insurance; I can't get my head around how you make it profitable.

I got apprached two years ago by a teenager that lives on our road. He wanted me to take him and his mate and their girlfriends to the Prom. I said I would but all four of them had to come over the weekend before and give the van a full valet and wax polish. Which they did, quite badly as it happens, I don't think kids go out washing cars for money these days.
At the school pick up for the prom I was parked with Hummers, Tractors, Old style buses and lots of stretch limo's. As stedlocks said, the van got the most interest and I was chatting to one of the Hummer drivers and his company had charged something like £350 for the half hour drive to the venue.
Considering that I was taking the children from four families to the prom I expected each of the parents to come over and introduce themselves and say "thanks for doing this for my son/daughter, here's £20/£30 quid for petrol"

Well I got a bottle of wine from one mother......

cost me £15 quid for petrol. Haven't bothered doing any proms since
