I did read that for every motorist in the UK to drive an electric car would require 110% of the world's entire supply of lithium
Tim Smit will save us all. Endless free electricity from geothermal power. Drilling starts this summer. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-cornwall-50035453
Yea but it doesn’t have to be lithium in the future. As we’ve seen with lots of other materials you can do the job better by adding a few atoms of rubidium or whatever and you then hardly need the lithium. Graphene is looking promising and thats just carbon. We’re not short of that yet.
Yes , thankfully they are a hybrid, and to be fair the 5 hr charge was from a normal wall plug , it was faster from a dedicated charger. The most frustrating thing for me was a lot of charging points had “normal “ cars parked in them , which as the outlander had an engine wasn’t the end of the world, but if you were only electric, then it is a problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Somewhat unrelated, but where did you source your split? Feel like I should add one to the resto list but I'm assuming mega-bucks even for a rotter.
https://www.ssvc.org.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=109026 Thats me build thread on the SSVC I have had it for a long time and then it didnt cost a great deal, the way I look at it is that I think a split is easier to work on, the costs in terms of your time are about the same. Mine is very early so parts are expensive and hard to find. The finished item though in the end is worth more though.
If they nuke everything rather than deep frying it will my chowmein order be sped up, this resulting in less time sat in the car waiting with the heater on, that will have the knock on effect of lower fossil fuel consumption and we will save the planet for the rich politicians to live in
