New Driving Licence photo needs updating dont forget £1000 fine!!

Just stumbled across this ,picture needs updating every 10 years , apparently £1000 fine if stopped by police and not up to date. Another £20 to reknew . They do inform you but if gets lost etc it is down to you . Worth a check guys. Apparently theirs over 2million that havnt.. Beware if you have changed recently because you have moved or lost and it still has old photo ,you still need to do it again if picture is 10 years old .

 

I had to do mine the other month. They send you one letter with a form and no others after that.

I did mine in the post office, certain branches have cameras set up so you don't have to pay £6 for pictures or postage. They take your photo and send it all digitally.

 

Bloody hell got one of these letters in a couple of months ago and don't know where the hell it is.

We have to renew ours every 5 years down here. My last one looked very little like I do now ;D
In the old one I had a shaved head & a neatly trimmed goatee beard, not the explosion in a mattress factory that is me currently

I blame them female drivers always changing sum part of their bodies.

 

Just got done for speeding,not inf the before you ask. Only had to send in paper copy. Also hired a van from a mate only to find out card licence was out of date. Sent a pic with the renew from 15 years ago . Lol

 

i renewed mine last week as it still had an address from 6 years ago on. (thought i would do the right thing)
i had lost the paper part so had to pay 20 quid!
when filling out online it asked for my passport number but i didnt want to fill that bit in (it then wouldnt let me go any further so did) but im sure it said if i wanted the picture updating i had too otherwise i would have to send other documents? (presumed they would update photo with the passport photo)
but when i recieved it it was the old photo, no new one!
plus the licence runs out early 2015 so this means i will have to pay another 20 quid then!!!!
