Some small updates Insulation & sound proofing the floor And getting the seat in Still loads more to do... It's surprising on how long it takes really.
Tell me about it.... Getting there though....worth thinking about laying a cables for speakers/leccy stuff while you're at this stage (unless you've done it earlier, and I've missed it) If you're starting from a blank canvas, most of the time is eaten up thinking about it and buggering about with templates and such....once you know what you're up to, the actual install is quite speedy by comparison
Thinking about it As there'll be a cabinet and a small seat i'm hoping to hide them behind that. Got to find somewhere for speakers as well....
It is - I was thinking this morning of getting some small but powerful ( & powered by a amp) round speakers facing forwards.
Yes, rear sound is needed to suppress the road and engine noises while "relaxingly " traveling along. LOL
Started with the propex today Not sure why there is such a large hole, any ideas to stop water getting up there?
That'll be for non contact of the exhaust... you could pop some exhaust wrap round it to "plug" the hole...
So where did I get to?? Some floor insulation And then boarding Getting it setup ready Templates going in
Then with the actual wood we are using These have been lacquered Floor going in Then cupboards - still not lacquered yet Our cheap foam and covers - which were actually duvets cut up and sown - total cost about £200 including foam Nearly there now lacquered With a table
if you know any Plumbers, ask them for a bit of Corofil....like dum dum but fireproof.....or buy some Exhaust putty from a car shop...Chemical metal will do just as well
The bit above the fridge is a pull down cupboard which I'm going to turn into a draw. Then went on holiday to France for 3 weeks Did around 2,000 miles and had a fab time. Then got back home and then smashed the oil filter off - a long one had been used rather than a short one! Which then meant a mini strip down Managed to fix it ok I think but when I took it for a drive water was peeing out but couldn't see where from.... Eventually found it was coming from the thermostat bolt hole which I hadn't replaced - stuck a bolt in it and leak fixed.
