If anyone can help out with this: Crew cab - cab door view please for resto http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/Crew-cab---cab-door-view-please-for-resto.59082/ It is what the step should look like.
Other side is nearly finished! Welding and MOT by the end of this month. Suspension in March, interior in April, cruzin' by May
ok, so i've not been here a while...but work has progressed quite nicely All welding complete (except chassis notching) Twin carbs fitted New vintage speed exhaust fitted Initial paint to cover the welding Gallery here: https://www.flickr.com/gp/snowbaked/SDq4pD Let me know if you can see these low res pics. I will post some of the high res when I get them. New suspension should be complete by monday/tuesday...
I'm considering leaving the bodywork as is and not having the welds ground down and filled. It looks quite 'commercial'. I would like to age the paint a little. Although not quite sure how.
Before After I'm over the moon with the result, and it drives so well. So at least it fits in the garage!!
I know, I'm a bit torn, although the gates are in a terrible state so rust will come through on them. I think I'll dull the shine for now. When I have the funds i may get the bodywork done. Interior next!!!
you might need to make a couple of cuts to the barn door seals. the one on my crewcab seems to be one that was made up (cut at top and bottom) maybe it was a bit big or something. I didnt fit it so not sure.. i just re-used it
Interior is currently being made by Bernard and Louis Newbury. No pics to share yet. Very excited!!! Should have some pics very soon as it will have been there two weeks on Monday (although with bank holidays and VooWoo show he said it may be a couple of weeks or so before anything resembling an interior can be shown).
