  1. So.............
On the way to the mot I have a steering issue, unable to turn left, this I found was a slight issue.
The nice MOT man failed Ted on this............

Only slightly bent I hear you say?

Rod had snapped and locked solid!!!

The good news is Ted passed on everything else and a new damper is £17.00.
So I'll have an MOT by Friday and steering too!

They like to keep us on our toes, don't they, these vans
Well done on the not-too-hard pass :)

  4. Was that on the drivers side per chance? ;)

  5. Have a drive with it off ,It`s like power steering ish..

  6. If you had carried out a pre-MOT inspection of the bus, you would have spotted that, and saved yourself the embarrasment of putting it in for inspection in that condition,

Yes, a quite disgraceful state of affairs.

  8. Remind me again who recently spent a week under my Bus? ;)

  9. It is, you're right, I'm beginning to wonder if I really need it? ;)

  10. I did, I went outside, it started, therefore it was ready for the MOT.
If I'm paying someone £50 quid to find faults, no point in doing it myself. :)

  11. Give Debs fifty quid, i bet she will find some faults and if your lucky some might even be to do with the bus:D

  12. I could ask Loretta? Oh no, I can't, mine has a white roof. ;)

  13. If it gets there it should be handed a mot  Can't grumble though Glynn cheap as chips for another 12 months ,fingers crossed

  14. Exactly, TBH I don't know when or how it happened, I can't believe that me and @Paul Weeding and @zed could all have missed this so I suspect it happened very recently, this is confirmed by the fact that the oil is still there and the "impact" point hasn't rusted.
I'm actually well chuffed with a sub £20 and 5 mins fix. :D
Most annoying point is the ball joint boots are splitting AGAIN after new ones were fitted last year.

  15. Mine are allso iv done 2000 miles since feb and all my rubbers are perished or split I comained to jk and they sent the German quality ones, but the others are heritage so covered em in silicone spray not got any worse yet , but the rubber quality is pants

  16. speed bump i bet ,or pot hole

  17. Could be that anti pikey brick i buried in the field?

I was taking the ******* out of Tony's reply.
I'm with you, that's what the MOT is for.

Don't drag me into this... It's been months since it left mine :p

On a side note... This was making "groaning" noises...

So that has been swapped out for a new one!!

  20. How do they get bent? They're behind the beam.
Teds done more miles on that bloody trailer this year than actually driving.:(
