  1. :) looking forward to this one :)

    K+ for posting

  2. I've hit a bit of a money block at the moment, hopefully I'll find a job soon to help fund it.

  3. hhhmmmm looks like it's going to be the gaffer and cardboard version then :)
    bek

  4. May well be. Lol

  5. I had an afternoon off so decided to crack on with the build today. I needed to fabricate up a supporting frame to hold the shell and had a few metres of square tube left so pottered about welding that up and fitting it to the frame:

I ran out of metal so will have to do the other wheel arch another time:

I also had some squares of wood I had put aside for the attic floor so pinched a few of them (lets be honest I haven't laid them yet ;)) and started to make up the basis of the shell:

  8. Yay looking good, is that deluxe trim? What colours are you going to go for?

  9. It's supposed to be the swage line, the bump round the middle.

Planning to go for the same colour as how we want to paint the bus, the advantage being we can spray the mini bus and see if it the colour we want and if not its easier to change. Pastel yellow bottom and white top.

Going to wire working lights as well. ;)

Most excellent project dude, it's coming together pretty quickly as well which is more fun to watch. Liking the swage.

  11. I would have liked to have curved the front, roof and corners but that would be more time, money and tricky. I rather crack on with it and get it usable. It's fairly large still though, 24"x46"!

You can always replace the front panel in a few years when it rots away. lol

  13. I'll be on mark 2 by then

  14. Thats quality mate 8)

  15. Cheers dude

  16. Update time.

Got cracking today. Needed to get some filler on to even out the edges and screw holes and try and smooth out some of the deep grain marks. So yet again I was filling and sanding but at least I had some help from the little man today:

After a few hours of filling and rubbing down and a few corrections to the windscreen/roofline this is what I was left with:

Needed to get the first coat of build up primer on and let that sink in before I rub that down:

Thats all for now, next is more sanding and prime coats. Oh and I realised that I have put the bulge line on crooked so that has to come off and put back on straight.

    Till next time. :hattip:

    Cooler and cooler. 8)

  18. Getting there slowly. The only hold up is waiting for money. Gardening for my nan once a week is financing this.

Next on the list: filler, primer, switches and relays

I must admit each evening i stand back to take pictures It brings a smile to my face.

  19. My brother was on a wind up yesterday and said it looks like a T25 because it's so square.

    What do you think?
