I used to buy loons from ads in back of Melody Maker. You could only wear them once, as when you washed them, they shrunk to nut-threatening proportions.

Saw David Beckham in an ad last night wearing a green velvet jacket just like mine...

The Northern lads at college used to slip on their Oxford bags on a Friday and head off to Wigan...

Mods and rockers, bell bottoms, Vespa's, men's stacked L R Davis boots, The Who, The Small Faces, (live at Stratford town hall) Rolling Stones live at Romford, The Blue Beat record label (my dad banned me from playing any of them due to naughty names!), Purple hearts and black bombers, record shops with sound booths, lots of motown music. Can remember all this but sometimes can't remember what I did last week!!
