500's are awesome little cars!! With a little bit of work you can make a bug engine and box fit!! Or if you're feeling a little adventurous, a motorbike engine with sequential box!!
I know where one has been laid up since the late 1960's, dry & relatively rust free but with about 3" of dust over it.
Nowhere near as close as that Owen. It's in a local garage, so probably closer to 12,000 miles away. Apparently the owner brought it in for a service & still hasn't collected it nearly 50 years later
This was the same - left in a garage and never collected for 43 years - It's now in the Coventry car museum!
Hi @shielsy, lost your email. Have managed to get a picture of the red one mate. It runs, it was motd 2009, he did 30 miles and then parked it up. He reckons he could clean it up and get it back on the road might need a gearbox mount which is a 20 min fix. He's got five in total but has been manic at work so difficult to get hold of him Let me know and I can give you contact number?
