The guy who's painting Desmond did a LHD to RHD swap earlier in the year. I'm seeing him tomorrow I'll ask him if he has any LHD bits left.........remaining.
Can you ask him what he did with the footbrake bracket ,ie cut part of the chassis off or fitted a replacement..(so you have two)
Just buy this http://www.thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/78-single-cab.57513/ Swap everything over and sell the "New" Rhd one, simples.
how come I can click the link then it comes up with small writing and I am logged out...(not the first time) @tlbmoderationcrew
looks good mate , but trying very hard not to buy any more vehicles ,I just have no time to do them ,I had loads of time in England...
But you're going to have to do the swap anyway, if you had a donor you can do it at your leisure then sell what's left as a project, you don't even need to put the other one back together!
Got a whole dash speedo, fuel gauge etc panel with only kmh on it, which came out of my South African, if you want it?
Wouldn't it be better to sell your comparitively "rare" RHD single cab in the UK where prices are a bit crazy, and buy a cheapy lecteur de main gauche seule cabine in France? Or have you "improved" Henry too much to sell him for more than £100? [self-edited to be slightly (only slightly though) less offensive.]
That's actually not as mad as it sounds. I could get the trailer over there for £100 extra. I suspect a RHD even one of Mick's is worth a lot more here. Then buy a LHD or even a T25 (awaits mass berating)
No , what makes you think that....? After I worked him into the ground I have spent quite a bit on him ,new back axle ,new engine ,new wheels and a tin of matt black.... I still like it's history and story and I am just the second worse owner ,a lot of people still ask about him ,the quarry guy (who broke the back axle)the tip guy ,the secrurity guard at bricho ,the old guy in the village ,be nice to have him reborn ,again... I probably would not buy another singlecab , if I sold him ... anyway I got loads of bits now from the members of tlb...
