  1. Finally accepted my leisure battery is goosed .
Problem is that i can`t get down to the van and measure the battery tray ...

Anyone able to measure the tray length between the light cluster and junction with the rear arch
    - pretty please ??

My current battery is approx 255mm long , the one i`m looking at is 352mm . No wheel well so height isn`t an issue , this is the one i`m looking at :-

    That should fit fine. The one I’ve got is 354mm (L), 175 (W), 190 (H).

  5. Do you need a trade card dude.
Put the battery on here and we can see if it's cheaper

    Comes in at 76 dude

It’s on my list of bits to sort! The terminal covers I bought are too big to fit in there, so it’s currently got a bit of rubber stuck to the underside of the tub as a “temporary” fix (only a month so still temporary?!)

  14. yeah its the height of it thats an issue, the length is ok though

  15. ...at least Halfords will change it if it goes wrong -no questions asked - I have taken 2 back in the last 5 years as they only managed 3 years and they were guaranteed for 4 years.

  16. The cynic in me can't help thinking their batteries aren't much good then! Having said that our bus has a Halfords battery that was already on there 7 years ago when we bought it and that's still going strong(he says with crossed fingers....)

  17. Cheers Matt , height isn't an issue - there's no spare wheel well ...
There's no rush to be honest but I just wanted to tick another job off , easy enough to order anything on t'internet but was hoping to pick one up locally and pay with pound notes ...

  18. Well in that case you're golden. But like you say no rush and the longer it sits in your van the quicker it will die. Leave buying one until you need it. Or you can have one of my old ones for free.

  20. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

80 cycles doesn't sound very impressive for a leisure battery?
