  3. Am I right in thinking that you need to match a battery to the output of your alternator ? Or am I talking pants ?

    No need to do that.

  5. We've an Elecsol, fantastic battery and the biggest ah rated battery I could squeeze in there.

You're meant to be able to use them to jump start too, I've never tried though.

  6. So my 55amp alt would charge a 110 battery but not as quick as 75amp alt ? As you can see, I'm still learning.

  7. Yup thats correct

  8. Jinkjude Please can you tell me where you saw the 15% off for Go Outdoors? Can't seem to see anything on their site! Thanks.

  9. Hi DB. It came on a mailshot (see below). Does say you must take in the voucher or...enter this code online AP821. It's a 'one day only' offer so might only go live tomorrow maybe? Also you need to be a discount cardholder. If not you could apply today or tomorrow instore...

  10. I had an elecsol in my last bus that was fine, though i have read a lot of bad press about their after sales service.

There seem to be quite a few 110ah batteries that are 190mm high (these fit under the spare wheel well) but its a struggle to find a 190mm high and left hand positive terminal Banner, Elecsol, Enduroline are all rh posi on a 190mm high battery.

Just out of interest is anyone using an enduroline one? more expensive but 4 yr warranty.

  11. Cheers Jink. I popped in yesterday and the girl said I could find the voucher online but I can't, so I might take your photo in and see if they'll except that! Worth a try!

  12. Got it. £76 100ah.

    Thanks all :)

  15. DriftingBear and Jinkjude Did the Numax battery fit in ok under the spare wheel well using a normal battery clamp ? Also did it miss the marker light ok ?
Any pics of installation ? I need a battery myself and for the price, this looks like a good bet (or the 96ah which is the same size).

  16. Hey Lofty. Yes it fits neatly under the spare wheel well using a normal battery clamp. Does not foul the marker.

  17. Thanks Jinkjude, a picture is worth a thousand words. I've just reserved the Numax battery at Go Outdoors as they have a 15% off their prices this week, no voucher needed. While I was there I reserved some Fabsil for the Poptop canvas so I guess I'll be busy this weekend !

  18. just drink beer

  19. Yep, just at Jink said it fits perfectly but I didn't use a clamp I just popped it it. Should I be clamping it down?!
