Please do not shed many tears it was definitely not worth restoring. If it was a split Barndoor then yes .

  5. Any idea of the condition of the sliding door? It's a RHD isn't it?
    Thanks!

Kevin removed the sliding door while I was there.

I left before he did but he was planning on buying it.

Just in case it saves you a journey.

Cheers for the heads up @Milky and good to meet @stirlingmoz

I got the sliding door from it, it needs the usual repairs and then some more.

Be under no illusion, the van is worse than the first pictures at a distance show - its rotten, and has been previously bodged all over!

Steering box is goosed if anyone was wondering, still had suspension, fuel tank, all roof parts are knackered, bulk head trims were there but slightly damaged, tailgate needed lower edge work as had been previously filled/lashed with sealer, glass is there, belly pans were on, engine/gearbox gone.

    It h
It had a council sticker in the windscreen. I think it had been abandoned and then picked up on behalf of the local authority.

Judging by the contents, the owner had been using as a skip. It's full floor to roof with various random rubbish. There were tools, a violin case, bedding, old food tins etc. It was a bit of a health hazard inside.

I got the engine lid which still had the number plate on. It wasn't known to the .gov tax or mot sites so must have been off the road a long time.

The scrappy didn't know much about it. No matter what I showed him, it was £20. Haggling skills deffo required.

And the kettle doesn’t look too bad – but not if they wants 20 quid for it.

Cab matt, seats, door furniture, sun visors, indicators, grille - all crap/knackered!

Steering wheel is cracked but useable,

    Bumpers have been knocked about.

    Glass was ok!

My God you guys are super keen as some of those panels I did not even consider taking due to the poor condition . I will have a few surplus bits once I finally get on with my camper especially panels such as cab doors , sliding doors X2 (RHD) , late engine lid ,unused /new spotmatic spot welder . I do have a nice pair of chrome 70s Lucas rectangle driving lamps with the covers for £40 if anyone would like them ?? Also good used 1700-2000 Ernst exhaust (removal able tailpipe is poor but cheap and easy to replace ) £20. Happy hunting
