  1. Well the small print doesn't say Bays only.
I bought this a couple of years back, a friend rang and said there was an old scooter in a shed and the guy wanted £125 so i offered a £100 and ended up with this

  5. First thing i did was to strip it down and take it back to bare metal, some parts were pretty rough

I will give you £100 for it ;) , you will only spend to much on it trying to fix it :D

Got a project Li 125 a few years ago , never finished it :(

  10. on a similar theme. a mate of mine was seeing this girl and she said her grandad had an old bike in the shed.....assuming she meant pushbike, he had a look and under an old canvas sheet was a totally complete and original Douglas 'rod model'.....so named because it had rod brakes....

Got it running and road worthy....lovely old thing....don't know if he's still got it as I've not seen him for donkeys

like this in burgundy....Sweet as a nut

  11. The engine was seized but a few day with Parafin in the cylinder, a block of wood and a large hammer sorted that, no scoring in the barrel so just fitted a new set of rings.
Next step was to prime what bits didn't need work and rebuild it to see what was missing
The engine started after a few kicks and settled down quite nicely

Then i spent a few months tracking down the missing bits before sending it off for a paint job and some professional help on the worst bits

    Are you going all black?

  16. Ah now we are talking, Bultaco, Ossa and Montessa, used to go and watch trials with my old man and had a TY50 as a sixteen year old

  17. Thought you could only post 6 piccys a time?

  18. Probably not for the purists (a bit like my van), frame and most bits are gloss black, the side panels, running boards and front mudguard will have some metallic, with the wheel rims and some small bits in white

  19. As long as its always passed in one direction im quite content sitting
On this beanbag and following the pictures

Whos turn is it to brew up?

  20. had a Cota 123, then a 247.....great trials bike but tbh they were pretty shoddy quality wise....once did a reasonably big drop off and both forks nuts ripped out of their threads and flew out, one of which properly tw*tted me on the forehead....:)lol:) not funny at the time.
This was the final straw after countless idler gear failures etc.
Saved up and bought a Honda TLR 200.....loved that bike, heavy as sin compared to the Monty, but such a predictable, neutral bike to ride off road....
Needless to say some b*stard nicked it....
One of these days, I'll get myself a road registered one....
