Propex HS2000 Heatsource Incredible heating for your VW! Was: £449.50 Now: £339 Once you click on the link it takes you to the website, where it is 399...Has someone at JK towers forgotton to check the emails before being sent out???
Yes, unfortunately it does look like there has been an issue with the email which was just sent out. All the prices as well as the other aspects of the email were checked by several people, so there really is no excuse for this mistake other than basic human error. I'll do my best to make people aware of the error and get more checks put in place, as this is unfortunately not the first time that this has happened. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, though. Josh
It is a good price, same price that was offered on Dec 1st and whilst JK was at Volksworld. Didn't there use to be laws about advertising one price and then selling at another, back in the day the supplier either had to sell it at the advertised price or remove it from sale for 30 days, but i guess times have changed...
I'm not too sure about the legality of sales prices myself, but several of our Directors has plenty of experience with this and will have checked it out before setting the prices Just sending an email out now to correct the pricing error and apologise for the inconvenience Josh
Correcting email sent - I'll now make sure that Facebook, Forums, Twitter etc are updated with the correction, too Josh
It's just the unit itself that's £399 (had to type that really slowly to make sure I got it right!) not the kit
Cough cough group buy on VZi cough cough I think the kit is £399 Edit. The kit is £390 delivered: http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=815028&highlight=Propex
Josh, as you know, I'm not one to JK bash on here unlike a lot of my esteemed co-members. However, JK really do need to get their act together! What is it with the constant mistakes? Sort it out. It's really starting to ******* people off.
So am I reading this right, the HS2000 propex kit (item J19842 but currently out of stock) is £449.99, or the unit itself (item J18073) was £449.50 but now reduced to £399 So the kit based on the original pre-sales prices was only 49p more than just the unit on its own, that doesn't make sense to me Oh hang on I've just looked at what the kit contains: - Kit Contains: 1 x J18073 Propex Heatsource Heater 1 x J11843 Gas Regulator 1 x J13059 Gas Level Indicator 1 x J11935 Gas Bottle Holder 1 x J13132 Gas Bottle Hose The extra's would cost you £34.60 (if bought from JK) saving you £16.39 if you bought everything seperately... I have just finished reading back through what I have written & thought why the hell am I commenting or to be more specific what was my original point, I have no idea now but have decided to hit send anyway as the breakdown may help others considering a propex unlike me who hasn't got enough pennies in my jar, yet! Apologies
I'm all too aware of that, and can only apologise. The unfortunate fact is that things at JK HQ are a bit turmultuous at the moment as we've been preparing for shows etc, as well as merging Status VW with ourselves in terms of stock, infrastructure, staff etc. and because of this, various members of the JK team have been away from their normal duties helping to facilitate the change over, which has contributed to the two email errors that have been made. For what it's worth, it's almost at an end now and normal service will resume shortly. The two errors we've made in recent emails may have just been simple human error (weirdly, affecting the same product), but they've obviously had a huge knock-on effect as the affected emails have gone out to so many people. Extra checks are being put in place, but that does unfortunately little for the confusion and inconvenience made by the two errors we've already made. Thanks for your patience and feedback Josh
Josh, although appreciated, the constant apologies wear thin when nothing really changes. Checking prices (and getting them right) really should be second nature to a retail company...
I'm really sorry to see that you feel so let down by these two email errors, Baysearcher, but unfortunately all I can do at this stage is apologise, and ensure that it doesn't happen again in future. The prices were checked by several members of staff, but evidently that wasn't enough. As soon as the error was spotted we sent another email to everyone who had received the first, to correct the mistake and apologise for the confusion and inconvenience that it caused. At this point I'm at a loss to see what else can be done, short of not make the error in the first place. There's some more information about JK + Status VW in the link below, if you missed it before: http://www.justkampers.com/news/JK_Status_VW/ If you've got any questions about it just shoot me an email (address is in my signature)
Josh, you got me wrong. Clearly there's nothing that can be done after the event; its in the past. However, maybe employ some people who are capable of checking these kinds of thing before publishing them? It's not been just the 2 emails recently as you well know. There are constantly stupid pricing errors on the site (incidentally that always make the offer appear better than it actually is) many of which I've pointed out to you on here. As I said; stop apologising and remedy the problems.
The pricing inconsistencies on the website are, as far as I'm aware, down to a bug in the bridge that connects our backoffice system to our website, which is being worked on currently. As such, if anyone does spot a pricing issue I would ask that they place report it directly to us, as these things are often discussed on forums etc without it ever getting back to us (obviously we don't see every post on every forum)
