Just found this thread and read it all through. Lots of well deserved praise already given, to which I would like to add my own. It must be very satisfying to be able to create stuff. If you are still doing key rings I would love one for Melvyn. Can pay by PayPal or cheque.
Glad you like it. Should be in the post on Monday. Thank you very much for the kind words. I've started a thread so I can keep track of the keyring orders. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/personalised-hand-made-keyrings.22737/
I really like this knife but i hate the handle If i got one and sent it to you do you think you could rehandle it? http://www.heinnie.com/Condor-Bushlore-Knife/p-0-0-4941/
paradox Will you get some good wood for the scales? Do you want a thin coloured insert between the knife and the scales. I'd have to learn how to stabilise the wood and also try making custom pins for fastening the scales to the knife. I've never done this before but I'll give it a go if you like. If you get two knives I'll practice on one. If they both come out brilliant I'll keep one and send the other to you. If one comes out better than the other then you get the best one. How's that sound?
Hi bob I belive stabilised wood and pins can be bought online That sounds like a great idea to me dude so once ive got the funds spare ill buy two of the bushlore knives and send them on to you Theres a knife forum called british blades that has tutorials etc on it and some of the handcrafted knifes on there are works of art
Sounds cool. If you find a handle on that website that you particularly like send me a link and I'll have a look and see if I think I can do it.
I'm really glad you like it. Unfortunately one of the postmen has put some keys on it because they weren't there when I sent it to you.
