Just found out that the dress code for tomorrow is jeans, club jackets if possible or just 50's style kit. Black is definately out as thats not what he would have wanted.

I was all ready to suit up so have no idea what to wear. I don't own any jeans.

 

It does say if black has to be worn then add a bright colour to compensate. So black jeans style trousers and a bright blue shirt it is then.
On the plus side i'm not driving (for a change) so i can have a wee drink or two.

 

make sure you have oil under your nails!

Room for the bus round the back if you want to bring it or come in the daily and sleep in the house

Was a good turnout today.
God knows what the other locals thought. There were folks from his re-enactment club in german and RAF uniforms and people from the hot rod club in 50's gear. Half a dozen VWs, a few hot rods and a huge Dodge coronet as the coffin carrier.

They're still trying to figure out what happened really. Seems he had a lot of troubles eating away at him and it sounds like it was not a spur of the moment thing but he'd planned it for a while.

 

We had a few laughs and drank a little too much but it was a good send off for him.

Totally cream crackered now and just wanna go to sleep.
