Is this gearbox any good for my bus?

hi folks, just aquired a AO code gearbox with what i believe is a swing axle . is this box any good for my late bay devon. There are that many codes and a friend said it had better ratios for my bus, so i thought i would pass this over to the experts on "the late bay" to give me the heads up.

It's a box out of a Karmann Ghia... Same as a beetle box, so not exactly a direct swap!!
