Bump stops. You need to build them up 15-20mm or so.
But then you have an inch of lovely soft suspension (the softest part) before you bounce between your seat and the ceiling.
No rubbing, Marmite ride if the road's bumpy. Ace on the motorway.
I put mine back to full height in the end and it's blurry lovely. :) Bumps I had to slow to 30mph I hit at 60 now and don't feel them.
I must be a gay fellow too, but I'm happy and I don't have a bruise on the top of my head anymore. ;D

I packed mine 25mm and its solved the problem, I put my packers on the lower arm using a longer bolt through the sway bar with a hole over the nipple on the casting to stop it rotating out of position.

  14. Have t2d drop spindles, standard width beam and the t2d coilovers and get no rubbing at all. Only heard them hit the top of the arch twice and that was on a compression on the motorway at speed.
Tyres are 175x55x15 and wheels are 5.5x15 with a 20et.

I will be changing my shocks for GAZ adjustable coilovers after xmas, as I do think the t2d coilovers are beyond poor.

I'll let you know how I get on

The T2D ones are just ones they buy in and bung a sticker on. They don't make them!
Coil-overs will help though - more spring innit, but you can't escape the fact you have virtually no suspension travel and to stop rubbage you will have a harsh ride with stiff suspension - it's logic at work. Smaller tyres = more suspension travel and less rubbage.

I did the opposite of Pie and built up the bump stops rather than the landing site. Same difference.

Not aimed at the OP, but for anyone else thinking about it...
Radical lowering of a bus's suspension isn't a bolt on accessory. This is serious Marmite and not to be taken lightly despite what sites like T2D and TH may like you to think. Even these guys won't guarantee you won't have problems, but they will be ready to follow along selling you more parts as you try and iron them out. Nuf said;)

Zed - what you posted above IS the exact reason we replaced all of Majors components with stock height - I was gonna lower the front down but reading various websites and asking questions, it became very clear that it was not as easy as described!

not only that but replacing things upside down, dremeling bits away here and there, chopping bump stops off - cant remember where I read it but someone had that bad an issue with rubbing on the arches, it was easier to tub them
