The correct technique is the crack the door open, wait for all watery activity to cease, then open fully.

Machine stopped ages ago and now I don't care, its the wine talking,, I bet Lou Diamond Phillips doesn't have these problems

 

I repaired a dishwasher last week
and wondered what it was like inside when working .
So I clicked the switch in the door into the closed position...

switched her on ......
and we had a 6 foot fountain in the garden and water everywhere inside the machine..

 

And what have you learnt from this ?

 

That Recirculation pumps are quite powerful? Worked as a service engineer on Miele washing machines, dryers & particularly dishwashers for 3 years. Fault finding on washers & dryers easy - dishwashers not so much - everything is forced into a tiny space at the bottom of the machine so very tight space to work in - cut myself every time

 

I tell you what I've Learned from this,if your washing machine packs up ,as in it needs new drum bearings,buy a new door rubber before loosing your temper with it and hitting the control knob which broke off.
