  3. Just as I turned 40 I had to have another motorbike before it was too late, having not had one since I was 24. Got a Suzuki GS 550. Geat bike. Then I had to have a 1000 followed by a 750. Loved every minute until I hit a patch of spilled diesel at 70, near Shrewsbury. What a tank snapper that was. God knows how I stayed on. Legs like jelly for about two hours. Got home, just, and never road again. Went back to classic motors of various kinds and ended up with a campervan! The one hobby vehicle Mrs D approves of! Alls well that ends well.

I just keep buying rusty stuff , had a look at an old consul convertible that I wanted since a lad... the rustiest thing ever, fell in love but decided I had enough rusty stuff so bought a variant fastback, another rust bucket, chopped it up for spares for the squareback I havent used yet... Now bought a 1:18 scale porsche spyder danged Ebay ... bought a guitar and a mountain bike as well recently, 49 going on 14... :)

  5. I did this on Saturday, I went to my local car audio place to get some small speakers for the rear of the van, i was expecting to pay about £45 quid so when the bloke said that they were only £29 I had to buy more stuff, couldn't help myself as my brain was saying that I had more budget and ended up getting some components for the front as well, came out £120 lighter.

That happens to me every time, but I know it will, so I set my budget lower than I intend to spend and let them talk me into upgrading to what I wanted anyway. There's logic in that somewhere.

Is it the kind you lie across, not end to end? Sounds like my one. :D
No thanks, my back wouldn't like it now, I accidentally got older and a bit cronk. :(

  12. you got it up ok? forgot to put the pole colors sheet in the box! Red for legs, black are the center points on the roof, blue are the rest of the roof poles!

  13. not put it upet buddy not really got room i'll work it out though! did you get a refund for it arriving 20mins late? haha

  14. so where do I start

no.1 the bus - we had money burning a hole in our pocket so bought it, knew nothing about them and now have considerably less money. If I add up how much we've spent we could probably have got a mint westie
no.2 - Concert tickets to see matchbox 20, sounds harmless until I tell you that we were drunk saw them online and paid $800 each, see the $ sign yes it was in the States so that didnt even include airfare or a hotel. It was amazing though and included a meet and greet with the band
no.3 - We tried to save money last year by holidaying in the UK this cost us a fortune as just before we went to Cornwall we saw a Sevylor inflatable boat in the sale, so boat, life jackets, oars, wetsuits and a footpump later we left the store - we only went in for camping gaz

Finally our soon to be impulse purchase a GT beetle that needs ALOT of work, good times ahead along with lots of spending, shouting and swearing no doubt. Ahh the VW circle is complete

Could say I bought a camper on impulse, was looking for 1 project, but 2 turned up at the same time that I liked the look of, so I bought a 71 earlybay and a 72 latebay on the same day.

Started the 72 latebay first and realised the earlybay wouldnt see the road until 2020 so sold it 6 months later for the same money without touching it and went on holiday with the money. :)

3 years later and its still not finished!
