impulse purchases

right own up, we have all done it, drunken or otherwise..what impulse purchases have you made, few years ago decided I really wanted a metal detector, got one and embarrass the Mrs on holiday on the beach looking for treasure ( re bottle tops ), latest 1 at 42 years old ,the Tamiya radio control car I never had a as a kid,, spent the last week building it as though I was doing a full restoration...come on make me feel better by telling us your purchases which were a good idea at the time.

 

I've got a VW van sitting in the drive. A mid-life crisis purchase.

Oh yes, and my van, it was parked up at a neighbours house, knocked on the door, asked if he wanted to sell it... Then bought it the same day!

Most forces marriges struggle to last 2 years tops

 

I lost it 20 years and several moves ago. Never even got it out of it's bag.
