I usually quite like a bit of snow but I've had enough.
Got a day free today and a son to help, was going to put the engine back in but not in this. Especially as a roof tile just landed about a foot away!

Good to see someone likes a good tidy up after they've been working on the van. :D

it's a good job it's spring then.......... mines up on ramps too covered in snow - chuffing weather i've got loads to do and no cover.

  4. I hate winter, this time next year when I'm a millionaire I'm going to live somewhere warm in the winter & only come back here when its warm. About 3 days a year lol. :)

its a flaming joke, fingers crossed it'll all clear up as quick, luckily we got a lot of jobs done last weekend!

Rick, those Just Kampers deluxe covers are really good and fit very will, if you are considering one of those - I wish we'd bought one two years ago (but they have been vastly improved since then)!

  6. Yeah, the weather is seriously taking the biscuit at the mo... :(

Was supposed to be heading south today for volksworld, but I'm gonna have to give it a miss looking at the advance weather forecast :(

mork i meant a cover to work under like a carport etc.... now i've changed jobs i'm unsure if i'll have storage next winter although our house is up for sale and we are looking for somewhere with a garage/carport area as a proviso...... if we are still here in autumn i'll have to buy a jk cover for the bad weather.

  8. Flakey, not good :( No snow here but absolutely freezing and the wind, howling! How are we supposed to get anything done, someone needs to have a word! Whoever that may be?! :(
I can't get anything done either and gotta move mine Sunday, should be fun on a trailer on the M11 in these winds :(

  10. Not a great time for SAD sufferers either ...
I'm pi$$ed off as well - got Hattie out of storage last week to go to Volksworld today. Should have just left her safe and warm (and not paid a month's road tax for just 2 weeks of March). Luckily some mates gave us a cover they no longer needed, so that went on last night.

Ahh sorry! A garage would be great for us too, come summer & when we know what the work status is, I'll start to look for one too!

It's March! Isn't it like this most years? Last year was a freak and the best weather was around now if I remember so maybe this year we'll be back to normal? Soon it should stop snowing and start raining (April showers) so don't be surprised! With a bit of luck by the May bank holiday things will be warming up. Only about 5-6 weeks to go... :)

  13. I was thinking the same. Does seem to have been a long winter but ive been away at Easter a number of times when its snowed! Had some significant wintery showers in May in the Lakes too! The old "in like a lion" addage doesnt really hold true.

This was what I was up to last March, it was hot and sunny, I was working outside just in shorts!

i know when we went away last easter (and it was later last year) it was freezing and there was snow on those welsh hills..... this year i'm going a bit earlier so i'm not expecting a heatwave to be honest it's a good job i got made redundant and had a 2 week break between jobs or i'd have not been ready.

  17. Flakey - love the decking - well done! Did you get much use out of it with all the rain, though?!

It was toasty warm last year for a couple of weeks, then it snowed again (we'd been away for 4 months over the winter - came back on 17th March to shorts and t-shirt weather, then a week later it turned cold again and snowed). So you're all correct!

^^ Had one BBQ, it rained so hard we were forced to eat indoors and when freinds arrived they couldn't get out of their car for 10mins cos it was bouncing off the road!
