WANTED ICT / ICH 34 bakelite or tufnol carb gaskets

Hi,

Looks like I am still having heat problems with my ICT 34 carbs. Does anyone have a pair of decent condition bakelite or tufnol gaskets / spacers? These were the thick ones that were fitted between the carb body and the manifold.

Don't think they're Bakelite ....but more tufnol .have you checked out eBay

 

I did, but they are either cardboard ones stacked up on top of each other (which I already have) or phenolic which are $18 each from the states.

Tufnol ones are just as good according to a Saab forum I stumbled across.

 

What sort of problems?

Ta just read it. Regards the fuel boiling issue. What problem does this actually present?

 

I'm sure I saw @Mork had made his own in his engine thread?

 

It can cause problems when you try to restart when hot, or poor running. I don't get this, but flooding carbs when initially turned off.

 

Thought so. Mine suffers from that.

Haven't you made yours yet!!! I'd have made you some if you'd asked - really easy with a manifold and one of those router bits that follows the shape.

 

I'd be interested in a pair
