I just met Sire Laurie of the Pettit variety!

my new engine was built by him, he was there for the install and this evening he tinkered with it and had a nice chat.

he also told me not to be scared of it and "just drive the bloody thing" admittedly i have been nervous about running it in and not breaking it

what a thoroughly lovely chap. and he has a cute dog too

Sounds like he does great customer service. But how does he make any money if he's travelling up and down the country fettling his engines?

 

I honestly don't think he makes much, but he's 60ish so maybe its just keeping him out of mischief

I like to put my name forward for the IMLP club as I was at TE when he stripped an engine.
