  1. I've just put he trailing arms back on, but how the hell do you get the spindles on??

I can get one ball joint in, but then the other is nowhere near,

And if I try for both at once it just won't go.

    Any tips?

A Jack, a bar, lots of heave ho and plenty thinking. Oh and have a cuppa when you are at your wits end.

  3. Well I got the spindles on,

But the top ball joint nut on the passenger side isn't wanting to do up. It's just spinning the joint, any ideas?.

  4. Put it on the floor use the weight of the van to stop it spinning

Jack it into position and tighten.

  6. put it under pressure..

  7. Fit it to the bottom arm, then use a trolley jack under the spindle to jack it up on to the top arm

That's how I do it... No need to split the bottom arm from the spindle when doing it that way either... Unless you're doing BJ boots

Paul Weeding and Borninabug like this.
  9. Yeah i jacked the spindle up until it started to lift the van, but it the bolt bit still spun with the nut.

Will it be ok toput thewheels back on and drop it withthe bolt still un done?

  10. Is it the van in your avatar.. ie stripped?

As putting it on the ground won't make any difference.. a van without all of its weight is going to be a struggle to get that top nut up tight!!
