How much damage does driving in snow and on gritted roads cause?

  2. I don't know how much they use salt on the roads in Britain, but I have regretted driving in the snow this year.

If there are any small cracks and pores in the filler or paint, these get filled with water, and when it freezes, the cracks expand. This has a lot to do with bad bodywork, wherever the metal is poorly protected, it will rust very fast. (poorly protected also means painted with "hammerite")

  7. you can use all the cavity wax and underseal in the world as a preventatve measure and sure its the finest thing but continued use on wet salty roads the horrible mixture gets to places you cant get to and sits there doing its corrosive stuff. but fair play for using your bus as intended in all weathers.. me well sorn over the winter and use it as tinkering time....would love a play in the snow in
her though.. bet shes ace with some knobblys on. Madge the bus not the Mrs. lol ;D
