  2. 1, is the engine turning over?

2, is it turning over normally, or slowly?

If its not tuning over you have wired it wrong there is a how to see link just check the wires you have put in are going to the right places

I dont like them and find if you clean up the terminals and replace the ends of the cables on the starter and at the back of fuse 9 it will sort the fault out

  4. No its Not turning over and the battery light gos dîme any ideas

  5. Simon just looking at my post from (years ago) noticed the pictures have vanished ! I will dig them out and repost.

It will make no difference what type of engine it is the wiring to the starter should be the same. I only fitted a hot start relay because my would not start from cold as well as hot (it was conistent really) ensure your battery is in a good state and that your earth straps on the engine and gearbox are all cleaned up and tight as are the terminals on the batterey and earth strap to the body from the battery. Also your iginition switch should be good with clean connections to it. I have to say since I fitted the hot start I only ever need to look at the key and it fires up which is a massive difference to when I purchased it. You have a lot of 40 year old oxidised cabling to navigate and hence enough voltage drop to find any weaknesses along the way.

Just uploading pics back into my guide.
