Higher Output Alternator?

it comes down to cooling at the end of the day.....running a smaller pulley would spin up the alt and generate more heat......modifying the case to dissipate more heat would be the easiest mod., but installing a more efficient alternator/belt on a separate bracket and bypassing the stock alt altogether (but retaining the ability to drive the fan via an 'empty' casing.) would probably free up some HP

 

taking the reg and rectifier out provides more space for more windings.....

Why not add another alternator, that's what boaty people do.

 

100 tops ....but a full stablilized 40 Amps just off idle....just where you need it
