dean there's loads of different ways to "wire it up" presume you mean pipe the gas supply? birdy/me/majorhangover to name a few did comprehensive install threads to help others, can be fitted anywhere but the aim is to fit in the least disruptive place, you can join the gas supply from just one bottle if you like, basically rodney, the worlds your lobster!
im on my phone mate, it's possibly in my van thread (search poo bus bollyknickers) or you'll just have to search propex and filter through major/birdy posts, if no joy i'll look later when on a comp.
Mine is under the seat in the back and the gas bottle is in the cupboard it was fitted by Gasure and the pipe work is brilliant also feeds off for the cooker too Have a look here for mine http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=17050.0
Good link , I use the 5kg patio as its propane so able to use it at low temperatures also has contents gauge on it too which is handy , last one cost 18.90 from Go Outdoors Thanks Dean
When siting the Propex you also have to consider where the units fresh air inlet and exhaust will sit to ensure the outriggers and jacking points will not be in the way. Just when you think you have somewhere suitable inside the van you hit a stumbling block when you then check underneath! You can use the same gas bottle as your cooker and tee into the gas supply. The gas pipe work should be carried out by an approved person of course.
Cheers for the info guys. I think I want to set it up the same way as Birdy. This is how he did it here http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=12241.0
Thanks Zed. Do you need the extra driving bracket kit from just kampers for this or is that just a gimmick to make some extra cash?
What he said I expect ^ - not over familiar with propex and the kits, fixings and stuff, but by the time it's installed, piped up etc it won't go far.
Hey guys, I'm not sure how its supposed to be fitted (or where) but whilst looking on jk I spotted it and didn't know if it was essentially whilst driving http://www.justkampers.com/shop/vim-vehicle-in-motion-bracket-for-propex-heater-j19550.html
