My best advise is research a lot, ask a lot on here, go to vw shows and buy the book 'The Essential buyer's Guide Volkswagen Bus' from Amazon @ about £10 (full of tips, refs and pics). Have a look at two vw bay sellers/restorers web sites in Essex ! VW downunder at Basildon and Bullibarn of Colchester. We have had Izzy for coming up to our 5th season and must say love the summer with car shows, vw festivals and music festivals. If you get a good one it can be a good investment, better then 0.5% from bank savings. Just do it!
