Headlights don't flash unless headlights are on ....

Is that normal? How do I wave to my fellow campers I see on the road if I can't give 'em a flash?

 

american? they don't you need to fit a uk relay and power the flash pin on it

 

I did see another thread about that but she's British through and through.

mine being usa doesnt flash at all, only dip or main beam, if i pass someone i pull the lights on and off quickly

 

I'll have to get used to driving before I attempt that

I currently don't have any brake lights either so no dogging for me either way...

 

I'd like to know why this happens as I'm sure mine does the same all be it its been off the road for a while so I don't so anything now

 

Check you have a 5pin relay
Check you have 12v at pin 30 on the relay (red wire) without the headlight on

If not you can move the wire from pin 30 to a live feed and the flash will work with out the lights on
