Headlamps stop working

Driving through the Peak District Friday night and the lights just vanished...very scary in the pitch dark! Switch to full beam and they return for a bit then go off again. Full beam and they return.

First time on for two months after being garaged. Nothing in Haynes and 'How to keep....'

Relay problem?

 

Sounds like it... I would double check the earths, and the fuses too, just to be on the safe side

 

Cheers Paul. All the fuses were intact. Will look into the earths and the relay ( wherever it is)..

 

sometimes the old fuses corrode a little... so spinning them in situ will re-cut them
