Head lights

  1. The easiest upgrade if your reflectors are in good condition is the use an adapter ring from the old tungsten P45t mount to use H4 bulbs you can then take advantage of the more efficient brighter Osram nighbreaker/Philips extreme H4 bulbs

  2. I've gone the adaptor route as Bigherb suggests and it does make a massive difference.

  3. Is there any re wiring needed?

    Any issues with heat from the higher powered bulbs with the adapters?

  4. Just Kampers halogen bulb £5.75 each. Just plug in and go. Bright enough so people coming the other way dip their lights rather than yourself aggressively dipping yours in retaliation. The joy of tungsten.
     
  5. No they are still the same wattage so no more power consumption through the wiring, only a marginal increase of heat over a standard H4 bulb nothing the headlamps can't handle.

    As you can see the Philips extreme on the left is much brighter than the standard H4 on the right.

  6. If helps just replaced connectors onto lamps, replaced earths and fitted original fit bowl type halogen 100/80w s.

    I went with the adapters for now saving me a load of money and making a massive difference!
