Nearest is my sister couple of hrs North, but she's a teacher. Others are in Folkestone and Devon :(. I have tried them. I'm at my dads today as he "had a fall" and cut his arm and leg. Problem is he doesn't like cats, naturally the cat loves him! , and he would remember how to work the cooker, shower etc.

@Bernard Fishtrousers i am going to reserve cattery and try to persuade Sarah.

  4. I tried a dead-out sitter to no avail. It seems Gay Zombies aren't good with animals!

  10. We used a live in sitter to take care of our crocodile. When we came home there was no sign of the sitter, she appeared to have left early. But to be fair she must have done a good job as he looked very well fed. I think we might have done something to annoy her as she never came back for her money. Another unreliable youngster I guess.

We have two cats one is 18 years old the other 18 months old both toms ( they hate each other) I've always let them come and go as they please through the cat flap but restricted to the utility room only while we are out.
When we go away we put a big bowl of dried food out and get someone ( usually a neighbour) to come in and feed them twice a day and keep an eye on them .
When we come home you wouldn't know we'd been away, cats don't really care as long as they're fed and they've got somewhere to doss ( reckon I must have been a cat in a past life)

Yes I've noticed how she has trained you into thinking it's your idea/way to do things. ;)
