Parked the van in town today and came back to find the slider handle snapped off and on the ground. on closer inspection i found it has been scrape marks across the chrome as if someone has caught it with their vehicle. New chrome slider handle neede. Horn packed up and hazards stopped flashing too. Grrrr On a brighter note. The tickover ( or lack of tickover problem) problem has gone again. I wish the door handle could fix itself.
i think the horn and hazzards are on the same fuse arent they?? that's a bugger about the handle though. lousy that they didnt even leave a note or anything
Every cloud has a silver (or Chrome) lining. Ive JUST replaced my chrome handles with sexy new black ones. This means that in my garage is a perfectly servicable chrome sliding door handle. Yours if you want it. I also have the chrome collar that it sits in.
I'd say getting clipped by another vehicle an having only suffered a broken handle is a lucky escape ....imagine if it had left a big dent .....some people have no consideration makes me mad when people drive off after causing damage
someone crashed into the pickup in the local intermarche ,looked at the dint and it matches the other side. The man started talking about insurance, I said pas de problem... buy a wreck never worry again... Having said that not nice been hit and run....
how has someone hit the slider handle only and not done any other damage? funny height of a car/vehicle, just goes to show having the slider on the kerb side with a rhd van is no safer!

Not that it helps, someone dragged a 3 foot scratch down the side of my Superb yesterday. I'm not a happy chappy!
I used to go to work in mine and no end of times would fing another colour of paint on the bumper. The only day in years ive been to work in the bus was last week and guess what.. Some twunt ran into my bumper and cracked it! FFS it a cluckin big white van. You have my sympathies!
