Hi guys, bought my '73 bay on a bit of an impulse two years ago. Woke up one Sunday morning, fancied one and had a look on Gumtree. Looked at my first van on the Tuesday and had bought her the next day. No idea what I was letting myself in for. Two years on and I am determined she is going to be all shiny and new for the summer of '17. Turning heads wherever she goes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thanks for the welcome. Just outside Perth. Are you from north of the border too? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Thanks for the big Cheers from Cheshire. Really hoping to push things on with my bay after 2 years tearing her apart and now she's ready for some primer and a shiny new coat of sparkly blue metal flake paint. Sorry to all the guys who may think I'm ruining a vintage vehicle by making her so non-stock. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Born in Barr Ayrshire but live in Australia. Just ignore the Jock jokes from the Sassenach lot on here, they're more to be pitied than scolded.
You can take the lad out of Ayrshire, but you'll never take the Ayrshire out of the lad. Cheers, mate. I've a thick skin, developed it during my twenty years in exile in Sassenachland. Haha Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Welcome Pete. Take no notice of @Terrordales he's just a plastic jock these days. Wears a skirt on occasion and gets all emosh on Burns night, but other than that he's a full on waltzing Matilda
Love your rhubarb and custard logo. Brings it all back. Even remember the theme song. Those were the days. Three channels and the testcard overnight. Haha Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It represents me trying to be serious on TLB ( Roobarb) and Custard represents this lot on here always looking on in bemused amazement! Or the name of my two vans really.
Hi guys. Thanks for the welcome and definitely a big thank you goes to you for the fabulous rusty lee bed and amazing door cards. Shall look forward to showing them off in the restoration section soon. And those beautiful manga blinds are just perfect. Guaranteed good night sleep for my son with their stars and the moons. Thanks Flakey. I appreciate the warm welcome from all of you. Just popped up some pics in the show us your ride section on a few of the trials and tribulations to get this far with Catriona and a nice opportunity to thank some amazing people who have helped get her to the point of priming and painting over the next couple of weeks.
