Getting a Corgi Engineer to inspect your bus

  1. I could get the bloke who did my landlord gas certificates this morning, he has super sensitive gas sniffers and pressure drop sensors. He found things all the previous engineers missed over the years, including installation issues from 5 years ago. Cost me an extra £60 for the corrections. Better safe than sorry though.
    He charges £30/hour
You could probably find someone local, and take it to them to try to avoid the call out charge, cant see it taking much more than an hour

  2. I am going to install one of these for some peace of mind, in addition to gas drop out valves, CO detector etc. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/adle-gas-leak-detectors.14382/ You can pick one up for around £40.

  3. Tuesday wildchild

    Tuesday wildchild I'm a circle!

all sounds a bit OTT but if you will sleep happy then who am I to say anythink.

  4. I got someone to replace all the 40 year old flexible hoses on my bus as well as tee of the supply to feed my Propex. Apparently flexible hoses are date stamped and should be changed every 3 years, so mine were well over due! Anyway, he charged me £60 labour plus the cost of parts which included the issue of a safety certificate. He was a local caravan service engineer who offered a mobile service.

I suggest you search for a similar type company near to you. The cost is worth the peace of mind.

Terrordales, paradox and Sir Arthur like this.
  5. Thanks fronk - I did a search on service engineers and have found two local companies with call-out service. Winner.
