WANTED Gear Box as mine has gone to bob...

looking for a gear box as mine in molly is poop... having to hold it in 4th on the motoway whilst fighting mega gales with one hand is horrid.... :'(

 

seen sparky wig on just kampers is selling one for a prototype bay, I dont know if it will fit yours.. he would know, being a vw guru,

 

Haven't you got a bungy cord yet? I wasn't joking.

 

haha i did try wrapping a charger wire around it to hold it as my arm/back was killing... need a gear stick extender too for my little arms x

 

Got one for a 1600 in my shed. Been standing for over 5 years but was refurbished and that cost me £350 then. Tried figuring out what codes were last year and cleaning around the codes but gave up. On Anglesey.

Before you put a new box in, have you checked the shifter coupling? as if this is on the way out it will stop the van from going into 4th properly, and it will pop out of gear all the time!!

 

one of my old landies jumped out of 4th on overrun, bungee strap around the shifter and job done

 

Thanks Paul Weeding going to have to get someone to look at it properly but apparently it is welded in (?) Don't know who has done that.... will have to get it looked at when I've got some cash...

 

It's not welded in Tiny. Who have you been talking to? Get another and we'll fit it at techeneders - piece of cake.
