The weight stamped on the outside of the bottle is the weight of gas on the inside
For example a full calor 15kg Butane bottle is exactly the same size As 13kg propane
Propane works at much lower temperatures than Butane

You could always use a litre jug and measure out the gas

 

Or light the cooker and see how long it burns for
