Fuel sender unit

Hi there.
My fuel gauge now reads empty on my type 4 1700,but I know I've got fuel in the tank. I've done some tests and everything points to the fuel sender. I know you can cut a hole above the tank,to get to the unit but where, is the big question and how easy is to do

You need to talk to @Paul Weeding , he might be along shortly and he may be able to sell you a cover/hatch for for the cut out!

 

It's easy enough... I'll get some pics and measurements from the donor van if you like?
