Hi all Where can I find info about refurbishing a fuel pump? It's for a t25 1.9wbx but any general info would be helpful as I can find none so far. I think fuel is running back to the tank as it is taking a while to start but all other possible issues have been checked and dealt with this is the last on the list. But I don't want to buy a new one. pSG
someone recommended to replace with this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-ELECT...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c8985dab
Yeah, your pump is a sealed unit, so non rebuild-able!! As for the facet, I'm not a fan... but it should operate fine in your application!!
The fuel in the carb [under the bowl in the float chamber]should be enough to start the engine ,the pump cannot suck it out....If the bowl did not have a reserve you would not get high rev`s.... Is the choke butterfly closed when cold...
im sure you have taught me this before @lost-en-france but i have forgotten how to get to that part and how to do what i need to do when i get there... . .. can you enlighten me in simple terms? or shall i look on u tube?
take that round air filter off ,you will see two holes ,one the nearest will have a butterfly, this should be closed ,three blade screws on the side ,near the accelerator unscrew a bit and turn the round thing [clockwise] till the butterfly closes...do it cold.... Before you start the T25 you have to put you foot on accelerator peddle to re set the choke... You can test if you have fuel in the carb by pulling the accelerator cable and listening for the jet of petrol...
I remember now. you showed me that. ok I will have a gander and let you know the goose. thanks again matey psg
thisis my carb with cover off. the front baffle doesnt seem to have an adjuster as far as I can see. is that the butterfly or am i looking at wrong place
The choke is nearly on ,the flap is the thing with the two cross thread screws ,put you finger on the flap so you can see down the chamber ,just right there is the accelerator mechanism ,push it and half way down you should see and hear a squirt of petrol... The adjusta for the choke is next to the accelerator cable...[in fact you can see it bottom right] or push the flap fully closed and see if it will start ,the misses will have to do the key..
