  1. Great information @mikedjames we are getting an even fuller picture..

    The cohline I got from VW Air Cooled works was marked Cohline 2240
    Also available from
    https://www.advancedfluidsolutions....-fuel-hose-diesel--petrol-22400400-2015-p.asp

    Application and temperature ränge for type 2240;
    Suitable for commercial fuels (for ethanol too) and Bio-diesel consist of Rapeoilmethylester (RME-fuels), E 10 fuel too
    From -40 ° C up to + 125 ° C. Short-term upto 140 °C

    I find that datasheet, yes that is the equivalent to the the Goodridge hoses.

    0 to 100% ethanol at the full temperature range.

    https://it.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/files/transfer/technical/doc/cohline_2240_data.pdf

    The Gates is not as good , being only E10.

    But the key point is that you really need to be sure it is one of the modern hoses by ordering by part number not just "Gates" or "Cohline" or "Goodridge"

    These are SAE J30R14 high temperature low permeability hoses or better.

    Your local motor factor may have a reel of indeterminate stuff they want to sell you..

  3. The guy who cleaned my carb for me - who rebuilds motorbike carbs for a living - told me to get viton fuel line - viton being the material rather than the brand. there's loads written about it online and its heat / ethanol resistance. Atm, mine is holding up fine, but it’s still in the bag and hasn’t had a whiff of fuel yet

    Nice idea but coolair gets the pipe from advance fluid solutions, save yourself a fortune and buy directly.

    I did and it’s been 4 or 5 years now. Still looks brand new.
