Where do you have yours apart from in the doors or kick panels? I need some in mine but can't decide where to put them or whether I should just make some custom enclosures with MDF and fibreglass. Am thinking six inch 2 ways but may even go as small as 4 inch if I can find some decent ones with enough oomph.
watching with interest for ideas, currently in door cards but when i get the "new" ones off @rob.e i'm not putting them back, the thinking is somehow to make new kick panels (mine are trashed) and put them there but i'll have no bass, currently run 6 inch in front and 4 in the back but will swap over when i do it so i'll only have to find small space.
We have some in kick panel but can hardly hear them as sound is not directed towards the ear. I'm going to put mine in the door cards next.
in fairness i don't tend to worry while driving i do like to listen to the engine and look at he view, i sometime have it on as background but more so when parked
The are way to big and bulky and I would make new ones that would be smaller and less intrusive and more angled towards ones face
them speakers look like you dug them out of norton bog. *norton bog is where anything old and crappy comes from that you've had lying round for ages. so to put in a sentence "you know that @poptop2 ? he looks so old and dishevelled he must have spent the night in norton bog"
Yeah pretty much, they are at least ten years old with the last 7 of them being in the bottom drawer of my toolbox. They are still OK though and have crossovers and separate tweeters. Sod it maybe I will use them but make new enclosures
