Hi all, Fancy changing my late bay front badge for an prototype bay one, if it's a relatively straightforward job. Can anyone tell me how the front badge is fitted to my late bay, and does anyone happen to know if the fixings for an early badge would be the same, or an early badge would cover the holes left from my late badge (don't mind drilling new holes providing the existing ones will be covered by the badge. thanks peeps,
No, no, no and no. The late badge is small and held on with three clips arranged equidistantly around the badge The early one is much bigger and the fixing points are in a completely different place, this with 4 fixing points arranged in a square. They don't cross over each other, so you'd have to fill and paint the old holes, drill and paint 4 new holes and for new brackets and badge. Then you'd be left with a bus which looked stupid because its badge is too big
All depends if you have an original front panel. My badge fell off, a year after I bought it. Turned out the PO fixed it in place with blue tack.
Don't really get that comment Rick, RHD is a non issue for me seeing that we live in England and we drive on the left. My RHD bus has never been welded, never had a cheapo rubbish replacement panel and has'nt got any rust, Some people might not like my wheels or the colour or the style in which iv'e done my bus but i'd put it up against any LHD inferior import and i'm pretty sure which one would come out on top Also it's a fact that earlies look better than lates and them big badges look ace
