What I admire about him is despite his horrific injuries at such a young age he always appears so upbeat and positive. I'm sure he has his darker moments when he dwells on the hand he's been dealt but his go for it attitude in public is truly inspiring.

Not much overtaking but still pretty exciting towards the end, but no re-run of Baku.

The last couple of laps were great, the rest was a bit of a yawn fest.

 

I struggled after a long weekend... sat down at 10pm to start watching it!! I did coerce my brother into telling me to fast forward bits, but he left me to it!

The format needs a short, shoot out competition that has points associated with it... everyone loves a 5 lap thriller!

 

How long until kyvat loses his seat

On BBC R2 yesterday, they were doing the sport and right at the end they said 'you'll notice I've not mentioned the formula 1, I've done you all a favour'

 

BBC didn't mention it on the Sunday evening news either, think it's more to do with the fact that they don't show it anymore.

 

Doubt it. They mentioned the winner Sunday afternoon.

 

It looks like the British GP's days are numbered...

 

Ridiculous amount of money they have to pay to host. It just not worth it after Bernie has bled them for everything they have got over the years. F1 should be paying the tracks like most other series do.

 

Countries like Russia ..
pay around £40 million to have the GP for a weekend.....

 

No other series gets the press/TV/media coverage that F1 does.

 

But isn't that the Russian government subsidising?

 

Yes, and that is why they have races in places with zero motor sport history and why the " classic " circuits are disappearing.

Especially now the rumour is Sainz is off to Renault and possibly before the end of the season.
