I'm not a fan of football I'm afraid but I think England world cup matches should last at least half a day....the roads and streets seem nearly empty and so much quieter when theres a big match on .....I love going out for a drive during England matches ...every ones happy
Reading football haters telling people who like football whats wrong with it is a bit like your neighbour popping his head over the fence, looking at your van and saying" They are not making them any more you know!" He doesn't have a clue!
Yes but only school and village level, frankly I was crap but I was part of a team and that was as much a part of the enjoyment as anything else. At school you would all talk about the brilliant goal you nearly scored and then try and recreate it a lunch time, when you get to the adult team you do the same at the pub but end up falling off the table in the beer garden. As @poptop2 says it stays with you
Played at junior school but went to a private senior school where rugby union was the be all and end all - although you were expected to know how to play and all the rules - I had grown up with Rugby League so union was a mystery
Just realised the Mrs is doing a triathlon at Windsor the first week end and then off to Austria for the European tri championship for a week. By the time we get back to the UK so will be the England team.
