Having seen last night that plenty of people on here hate the football I think its time to arrange a meet so it can be avoided. It's going to take up a good month or so so we will need plenty of events to keep everyone occupied, any suggestions?

A few group discussions for starters:
101 other uses for a pigs bladder
How much pay is too much pay?
    Why isn't corrie on?

    Workshops:
How to scowl and scare small children
How to whittle your Werthers Original into a dangerous weapon
    Pimp my tea cosy

Hope you have a great time but I won't be there as I will be watching the footie :)

  2. errrm maybe :thinking:we could have one out of season or when your not watching , be a shame for you to miss it ,as they, are obviuosly other things which interest you :D

Please don't get me wrong I don't hate football but then I don't love it either. I just can't understand why some certain types think(if they can) shouting at the tv and arguing with what the ref decides will make the slightest difference.

I also can't understand why some think that some bloke/gal is to be idolised just because they sing in tune.

I may just be a grumpy old git or not taken in by slick PR.

I don't hate football - I just don't particularly like it either, leave alone love it to the extend I name my kids after players or have tattoos, or dare I say it, want to duff someone up because they don't like a team I do.

What *******es me off is how it's everywhere, all the time rammed down your neck at the expense of dozens of more inclusive activities - despite the national team being mostly pants, and the 'premier' league being mostly full of foreigners, you are seen as unpatriotic for not 'loving' the sport.

People treat it like its life or death - when it really isn't. I mean, that's definitely embarrassing to think that 22 men running after a ball is as important as people starving or brain surgery or the birth of a child.

If people really do think that way then they have deffo lived a life in a vacuum.

One boringly shaped like a soccer ball.

Now you're talking, thats a game for everyone. Scantilly clad women running round the pitch chased by footballers dressed as Benny Hill with the theme tune playing over the loud speakers. We're gonna need bigger stadiums :)

  16. fetish always works , i knew :D

  17. I used to like football but along came the ridiculous pay deals, harassing the ref, diving, cheating in general, crap hair dos and their money wasting arrogance. All the press hype and we're always disappointed.
Much rather watch the rugby league world cup, the six nations, the winter Olympics and the commonwealth games. All these occur before the football world cup but hardly get mentioned and athletes get no where near their pay.

I agree with all of this and want to add cycling, I also don't think footballers are anywhere near as fit as these other sports
