Flywheel gasket question

Hi guys,

I have nearly finished putting my 1641 motor back together but am a bit confused over the flywheel gasket. There wasn't one on it when i took it off but there is a metal one and a paper one in the gasket kit.

Does anyone know if I should use one and if i should, which one?

neither of them are used... they're for early 1200 engines
